What's a Thread
A thread is a collection of questions and answers. First someone posts a question, then they get an answer, the maybe someone else answers, then the original person, responds, and so on.
Since the rule for status is that a status request may be asked only once a month, then it's also required that when the original person who posted the question comes back, he/she posts additional requests about the same site in the same thread. This applies even if the status was asked a year previously.
This keeps all the question together, and helps an editor to see previous replies.
If you didn't keep track of a thread you started and want to find it, then do this:
Quick Links -> My Profile -> Find all threads started by ...
